In February 2022, a routine medical appointment changed everything. My father, who had been fighting interstitial pulmonary edema since the previous summer, needed to be hospitalized immediately. For nearly two months, I spent as much time as I could by his side in the ICU, through a lung transplant, through his declining condition, and through the catatonic depression that eventually took hold. He passed away on April 4th, 2022.
No matter how much time I spent at the hospital, I couldn’t be there every moment. And that reality weighed on me heavily. Every time I left, the same question followed: How is he being treated when I’m not there? When he couldn’t speak for himself or call for help, I had to trust that he was being cared for with dignity and compassion. Not knowing for certain was one of the hardest parts of that experience.
That’s why I’m starting Honor Haven.
I understand how difficult it is to realize you can no longer provide the care your loved one needs at home. It’s an emotional, confusing, and painful decision, one of the hardest anyone has to make.
Honor Haven will be a place where families can feel genuine peace about that decision. Where they have real confidence that their loved one is not just being cared for, but is actually in a better environment than they could provide at home. Where worry is replaced with reassurance.
My father was the best man I’ve ever known. I can’t bring him back, but I can honor his life by making sure other families don’t have to carry the same uncertainty I did. Honor Haven is my way of turning that experience into something meaningful, a place where people are cared for the way I wish I could have guaranteed for my dad every single day.
This is his legacy, and my commitment.
We treat every resident with the dignity and respect they've earned through a lifetime of contribution, love, and resilience.
Families deserve complete honesty and open communication. We build trust by keeping you informed, involved, and confident in every decision.

Our residents aren't just maintained, they're empowered to flourish, grow, and experience breakthroughs in their abilities and quality of life.
In 2022, Ben lost his father to a long battle with lung disease, an experience which reshaped Ben’s sense of purpose entirely. Inspired by his father’s legacy and determined to ease the burden other families face when finding care for aging parents, Ben founded Honor Haven Memory Care.
Before this calling, Ben served as a U.S. Navy SEAL for 10 years while simultaneously building a successful real estate investing firm. Today, he channels that same discipline, leadership, and commitment to excellence into creating a memory care home that truly honors the people it serves and the families who trust him with their loved ones.
Ben lives locally with his wife Elle and their two daughters. When he’s not at Honor Haven, you’ll find the family hiking trails, taking road trips across the country, caring for their horses, or actively involved in their church community.
